I´ve been spreading wooden birds all over the places since 2006. The action alludes to the contemporary issue of immigration with delicacy representing the immigrants as colorful birds. Birds doesn´t need passports and visas to get in and out of any country. Rich in metaphor, the work also see the paper boat as symbolic of the fragility of the immigrant condition, set against the wide and tumultuous sea, but also representing the hope of a dream set wild against all odds.
